Learn photography in one week!
This class is designed to give you all the basic tools you need to get started in photography. Photography is a fun hobby, a form of artistic expression, a way to document our lives, and increasingly important for entrepreneurs. I want to help you bring your creativity to life by getting comfortable with the basic technical aspects and composition.
Some of what we will cover includes:
Unraveling the exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed, ISO
Understanding light: the camera meter and metering techniques
How to get great portraits with soft backgrounds
Overview of types of photography: documentary, portraiture, sports, etc.
How to use the shutter speed to capture sports or light streaks
Using different focusing modes
Understanding depth of field for sharp landscapes
Getting the right colors in any type of light
The only requirement is a camera with manual controls, preferable with changeable lens, and an interest in photography!
We will meet on Zoom from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm (PDT) for a week. That's 10 hours of instruction! Classes are capped at 10 students to give everyone the time to ask questions. "Office hours" are available for anyone with additional questions not answered during class hours.
This is not a recorded class, this is live with an instructor who can address everyone's questions.
